Untitled #8, 1996. This was done in the style of my later Impsky work, com-  bining the use of pencil, ink and marker in many layers to create luminous and  complex efects. In this case, the figures were sketched in pencil first, then inked  with a graphic pen. Next the black background was done in permanent magic  marker on both sides of the sheet, with black art pencil as insurance. Finally the  figures were detailed in ordinary pencil (for the white horse and rider) and  white art pencil (for the dark pair). This could probably be categorized with my  comix instead of my regular art. Click here for a closeup of the dark rider.
